It was a nice Chinese buffet, with a lot of options. Lots of seating. The Mongolian BBQ was the best part. A warning to anyone with food restrictions. The people in the front do NOT know the basics about the food. I asked 3 people who worked in the front if there was pork or chicken in the egg rolls and none knew or cared to find out. Suffice it to say, I did not eat the egg rolls.

Yummy. Sorry if I offend, but I didn't expect much of Chinese food in W. Colorado, just like I had low expectations in rural N. Quebec. That was a horrible nothing-but--soy sauce experience. The only thing interesting about that was talking to someone who spoke Cantonese with a French accent. Back to G. Junction - I cant compare based on location. Out of towner. My experience w/ Asian AYCE is NYC, Frisco, and mostly L.A. County. Food, service and facilities are Good. That's good with a capitol G. I know something about the Asian restaurant business. If it were my place, I don't think I could make the experience any better w/out raising prices. At under $13 peak, it doesn't get any than this. Sushi. Don't come here for sushi. Fresh, clean, but on the extreme lower end and anyone from Japan wouldn't approve. If this is your intro to sushi, you'll not go further. Sushi is my favorite food, but don't start here. 5 stars doesn't mean perfection. It means they are at the top of their game, with few who can compete more favorably. I'm a tough but fair critic . Kudos to the management. You should eat here if you want Asian buffet, with a quality selection of American fishes for the kiddies. Which reminds me , I miss mine and need to get back home, stat.

Not bad everyone. Not bad at all. Especially compared to the crap buffets available in Denver. Sure some of the dishes could be served a bit warmer, but I've definitely been to buffets where the food is downright cold. Let me also state that this place could rate 4 stars for the chicken-on-a-stick alone. that stuff is fun-f*ckin-tastic. Seriously the best CoaS I've had (and I've had a lot). The secret isn't that surprising. They take fattier sections of dark meat and then deep fry it. Amazing. The rest of the selection was pretty generic material. Nothing awful, but nothing really worthy of praise. 4 stars for the chicken on a stick! Oh and lunch was $8. awesome.

Great place to indulge. Sushi is great, Mongolian Bbq was great, and the crab is always a crowd favorite. You really cant go wrong with anything that is here.

Food is sub par, lacks flavor and is way over priced and over cooked. Typical buffet joint.

Eaten here a few times with a group, not my choice it has gone down hill since it first opened. Their sushi is ok very simple and boring lots of fatty food and the salad bar is a disappointment. Lots of deep fried food.

This is a Chinese American buffet, with a sizeable assortment of American foods as well. It also has a sushi area and a Mongolian grill. Food is typical of such buffets, slightly better. The dishes on the warming tables are well maintained, kept full, and rarely contain anything looking stale. The sushi table has a nice variety of vegetable, fish, and surimi-style items. They have a small assortment of dim sum. Prices are reasonable, staff is pleasant and responsive, facilities are well maintained. This is a well above average "Chinese Buffet". We visit every time we are in Grand Junction.

Way above average Chinese buffet with a lot of American options beyond the typical pizza and chicken nuggets. Also, we arrived at 2:00 pm on a Tuesday afternoon and the food was still very fresh.

Pretty good buffet at a reasonable price. Has all the usual suspects, plus a Mongolian grill, sushi, some dim sum items, plus a better than usual so up section.

We were very pleased with our meal at this restaurant. Many of the photos and reviews were from several years ago and we weren't sure if they were accurate. They are The food bins were kept fresh and the variety was very good. They have a wokery where you can select your own meats and vegetables with the sauce you want. I'm trying to be careful with salt so I skipped their sauces and just had mine cooked with water. The grill was cleaned after each persons food was prepared. The wokery was my main meal but I tried a few of the other dishes and they were all good. I'd definitely return.

Quick and easy Americanized Chinese food, ok pricing and inexpensive beer, which is nice. Mongolian grill was good and we will come back for sure. Sunday's are busy!

I don't eat here often, maybe 3 times a year. But I have eaten here since they did open, so I have a bit of experience in this restaurant. I usually eat at a buffet, this or another, when I just cannot decide what sounds good for a meal From my experience they have a very good selection from which to choose. Their food has relatively good flavors. For a buffet the quality is above average compared to other similar locations in the area. After my meal here tonight I will return again. Also, great for seniors, between 2pm and 4pm, the price is $7.99 including your drink. My only reason for not giving a 5 star rating is that, comparing buffet to buffet, I have had better, but at a higher price. Also not in Grand Junction, You cannot compare a buffet to a regular restaurant, they're different and intended to be. If you don't understand this basic fact, you are wrong for grading them as being the same. I have enjoyed my visits here since the start.

(Gave 4 stars based on comparing this to Golden Corral or other low priced buffet style place) Stopped here with family while traveling from CA to CO. Place was very busy and had LOTS of Asian food (Chinese, sushi, Mongolian grill etc) to chose from. They keep the buffet tidy and well stocked. My husband said the snow crab legs were pretty decent. They also had fresh oysters that people were eating up. My kids found plenty of choices. There was one area of the buffet with kids fare- Mac n cheese, pizza, chicken strips, fries $ mashed etc. so there's really something for everyone. Basically this place has a very large selection of mediocre Asian food that's freshly prepared or fried up. Pretty good salad bar too. The place is reasonably priced, busy but clean, and the staff attentive. Worth a visit.

The sushi was okay that's why I rated this place two stars instead of one. The buffet food was mostly fried and as other reviewers have stated it is overcooked. Most of the dishes contain too much oil and salt. I came to this buffet at 11:30 AM so I was expecting better fare but it might have been reheated as it tasted old.

The Grand International Buffet brings ... - Joy to my heart. - Bliss to my taste buds. - Fatness to my stomach. Not a shabby Chinese buffet!

My kids love this place and often pick it for their birthday dinner spot. The variety is great. My fav is the walnut shrimp. Service is always prompt.

Well if quantity buffet heavy food is what your after this is quite good. There is a huge variety of starchy heavily fried foods and simple sugar desserts but if your looking for healthy fresh asian inspired food this isnt the place. Service is adequate and what youd expect at a buffet restaurant. Kids will love it but you'll need a 5 mile walk after your dinner.

OK, first off, this isn't fine dining. It's a buffet, so of course its not going to be authentic, but that's not really why you go to a buffet. They have a few pleasant surprises like the steamed red bean buns in the shape of roses, sauteed green beans, roast duck (at night) and their fresh fruits, like longyuan which translates to Dragon's eyes.

My daughter insisted that we go here last night. She loves the green beans and the chocolate cream pie. Some items were OK, like the peel and eat shrimp, the salad, the chicken wings and beleive it or not the sushi was decent. Most of the other dishes were pretty average buffet stuff, but the Salt and Pepper Crab, was beyond awful. A revolting, putrefied, disgusting, dried out stinking mass of crab corpse remains a seagull wouldn't touch. Have I made my point? The chocolate cream pie was delicious and the service was very good as usual. The green beans were pretty good too. It's a three star place but how could they put that crab out there? I'm confounded.

Went for lunch and it was really good! Was only in town for a day and so glad.we.picked.this.place over the nearby chains. Selection was more than I expected, or knew to hope for. The place was really clean and well kept. Staff friendly. Would go again. About ten bucks pp. I don't like buffets, yet have always been a sucks for all I can eat veggies!!! I love mushroom chicken!

Food here is usually enjoyable. Admittedly it's not as good as Golden Corral, but its still a nice place to dine at.

I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of buffets, but my husband prompted me to eat here since it's close to his work. I was happily surprised when I find that not only is this buffet pretty clean, but they have pretty fresh choices for their salad bar...and even among the hot options had many to choose from. I'm giving it 4 stars because for being a buffet...it really surprised me and exceeded my expectations. The Wynn buffet in Vegas would earn a 5 star rating due to quality, freshness, and selection.

OK, what am I doing at a buffet. My wife was out of town and I thought "give it a go". Surprise, surprise...not bad, clean, great choices, not everything was fried, helpful staff, constant refills on drinks, sushi bar (lots of rolls) all in all not bad. It is easy to see why America is over weight. "Tons" of folks enjoying the load your plate and eat more attitude. Will I return? Probably, next time my wife is out of town. Price was very reasonable...$9.99 for all you can eat at lunch.

This is a great buffet as buffets go. My kids love it, and if you want authentic, you can choose your own ingredients at the grill and they'll cook it fresh (I lived in the far east for three years - and they're happy to prepare an authentic dish if I want). If you want a meal quickly, the buffet is open and usually fresh. If there is a dish getting "old," just tell staff and they get a fresh set right out. I'm a regular and will continue to be.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
